Beginner’s Guide: How to Use Your Weighted Tuning Forks

Weighted forks are uniquely designed to be placed directly onto the physical body. If you are new to sonic massage, follow these simple steps:

The Grip: Firmly hold the tuning fork by its single smooth stem (the handle). Be sure to keep your fingers clear of the two vibrating prongs and the weights at the top.

The Strike: Tap the flat, weighted end of one of the prongs gently but firmly against your rubber activator. (Do not strike weighted forks against hard surfaces or other forks, as this can damage the weights).

The Placement: While the fork is visibly vibrating, immediately press the bottom flat tip of the handle directly onto the skin.

Where to Place: Try placing the stem directly on the corresponding chakra location, on tight muscle knots, or on grounding acupressure points (like the bottom of the foot or the center of the chest).

Feel the Resonance: Hold the stem in place until you feel the physical vibration fade away completely. Repeat the process 2 to 3 times on the same spot for deep, restorative relief.
