About the Artist: Publishing the Stories of the Forest
As an artist, my mission is Ostranenie: presenting common things in an unfamiliar way to enhance our perception of the familiar. Trees are nature’s historians, recording everything from the activity of a wood ant to shifts in the global climate. I see myself as a publisher of stories written in wood. My process is rooted in a deep respect for the environment.

Ethically Sourced: I never cut down trees. I gather wood only from previously fallen trees in significant locations like National Parks or historical sites.
Hand-Pressed: Inspired by the work of Bryan Nash Gill, I hand-pull every print. These are authentic woodcuts, not machine-made reproductions.
Truly Unique: Every print is a one-of-a-kind work of art, capturing the unique history of the specific tree it was crafted from.
Giant Redwood: A Record-Breaking Masterpiece
Bring a monumental piece of natural history into your space.
Measuring an incredible 52x72 inches, this is—to my knowledge—the largest tree ring print ever made. This massive Redwood was discovered washed up on the coast of Northern California near Eureka. The print beautifully captures its entire journey: from centuries of growth to its time being tossed in the ocean.
Why You’ll Love This Statement Piece
Unprecedented Scale: This is not just decor; it is a museum-quality focal point that showcases the awe-inspiring resilience of the Redwood.
Authentic Storytelling: The rings reveal the wear and tear of the tree's life, death, and journey at sea, making it a profound conversation starter.
Eco-Conscious Fine Art: Crafted from sustainably gathered coastal wood, this piece allows you to celebrate nature without harming it.
Versatile Design: Its organic patterns and warm, neutral tones complement styles ranging from rustic lodges to sleek, modern gallery spaces.
Customization & Care
Framing Advice: Due to the massive size, I ship this print unframed in a sturdy tube to avoid damage. I recommend using a local frame shop. Because the paper is high-quality and durable, it can be framed without glass (similar to a canvas) to save on weight and cost.
Hanger Frames: For a more minimalist look, large magnetic hanger frames are an excellent and affordable alternative.
My Guarantee: I stand by my work. If you are not completely satisfied with this piece, I offer a full, no-questions-asked refund.
