Sourced from the remote village of San Juan Chivite in the "Mountains of True Peace," this 100% pure cacao is an ally for deep self-inquiry and heart-centered reflection. The community here remains profoundly connected to their indigenous traditions, accessible only by a footbridge crossing the rushing Cahabón River. This cacao carries a strong, wise, yet nurturing energy that awakens compassion and honest reflection.
Intact Traditions: This village has successfully resisted outside influence for decades, preserving some of the most ancient and intact cacao knowledge in the world.
A Village United: Cacao is the lifeblood of this community, providing 90% of the income for 125 indigenous families. We are proud to purchase the entire production of this remote village.
The Bridge of Resilience: After their hanging bridge collapsed in 2020, our community rallied to build a new, sturdier path for farmers to carry their 100-lb sacks of cacao to the fermentery.
