The Honest Kitchen began in 2002 when our founder, Lucy Postins, sought a natural way to help her dog, Mosi, overcome chronic health issues. Convinced that better nutrition was the key, Lucy began experimenting in her own kitchen with whole-food recipes.
To solve the mess and time of daily home-cooking, she discovered that gentle dehydration and high-quality processing could preserve vital nutrients while making mealtime convenient. After seeing Mosi's incredible transformation, Lucy was determined to share this "human grade" standard with pets everywhere.
