Long before raw food and juicing were trendy, our dad, Steve "The Sproutman" Meyerowitz, was a young man suffering from debilitating asthma, painful eczema, and psoriasis. Frustrated by endless prescriptions and creams that never brought relief, he decided to look to the earth for answers. It was the simple, humble sprout that completely transformed his body, cleared his skin, and gave him his breath back. He spent the rest of his life writing books and teaching others how to reclaim their health, just as he did.

When he passed away suddenly in 2015, we stepped in as the Sprout Brothers to keep his heartbeat alive. How to Grow for Beginners

Sprouting with a hemp bag is famously simple and completely hands-off.

1. The Seed Soak: Pour a few tablespoons of your chosen sprouting seeds directly into the Sprout Bag. Submerge the entire bag in room-temperature water inside a jar, bowl, or sink for 6 to 8 hours (or overnight) to activate the seeds.

2. The First Hang: Lift the bag out of the water and hang it directly over your sink or a large bowl, allowing the excess water to drain out completely.

3. The Daily Dip & Rinse: Twice a day (morning and night), hold the bag under your kitchen faucet for a quick but thorough rinse. Hang it back up between rinses so it can drip-dry and breathe.

4. The Refrigerated Harvest: In just 3 to 5 days, your sprouts will be mature and ready to eat. Once the bag feels dry to the touch on the outside, you can place the entire sprout-filled bag directly into the refrigerator to keep your greens fresh.

How to Care for Your Sprout Bag

Proper maintenance ensures your hemp fibers remain clean, clear, and ready to complete over a thousand successful growth cycles.

Routine Post-Harvest Clean: After emptying your sprouts, turn the bag completely inside out. Rinse it thoroughly under hot running water, using your hands, a soft sponge, or a clean brush to dislodge any stuck root particles or seed hulls. Air dry. The Deep Clean Habit: Every 5 to 10 harvests, submerge the empty bag in a pot of boiling water for 5 to 10 minutes to completely sterilize the hemp fabric. Crucial Pro-Tips: Always avoid using dish soap or laundry detergents on the bag, and never toss it into a washing machine or dryer. Chemical soap residues can damage your next harvest, and machine washing will dramatically shorten the lifespan of the natural hemp fibers.
