Roasted Buckwheat (Soba) Matcha

Silky-Smooth | Toasty | Naturally Mellow

Looking for a more forgiving way to enjoy the world of Matcha? Our Roasted Buckwheat (Soba) Matcha is a silky-smooth, mellow alternative to traditional blends. By mixing vibrant Japanese Matcha with toasted buckwheat (soba), we’ve created a tea that is full of warm, earthy flavors but remains light on the tongue. It is the perfect choice for those who love nutty, roasted profiles and want a gentle, "forgiving" introduction to Matcha.

Flavor Profile & Aroma

The Flavor: Characteristically toasty and comforting. The earthy, warm notes of the roasted buckwheat provide a subtle, natural sweetness that balances the vibrant green tea perfectly.

The Aroma: Pure and rustic, the predominant scent is that of toasted grains.

The Look: In its dry form, you’ll see small grains of soba enrobed in brilliant green Matcha powder. Once brewed, it produces a unique khaki-colored liquor with a light dusting of Matcha settling at the bottom.

How to Brew

This blend is incredibly easy to make and very rewarding. Follow these steps for the perfect cup:

Water Temperature: Heat your water to 175°F. Keeping the temperature below boiling ensures the Matcha stays smooth and sweet rather than bitter.

Steep Time: Brew for 3 minutes. This allows the roasted buckwheat enough time to release its full, nutty depth.

The Result: A medium-bodied, caffeinated tea that is both enriching and easy to enjoy.
