Broccoli Microgreens (Brassica oleracea)
Power your meals with these nutrient-dense, fast-growing greens. Broccoli Microgreens are celebrated for their impressive levels of antioxidants and Vitamin C. They offer a sophisticated flavor profile—mildly peppery with subtle, fresh hints of cabbage and radish. Crisp and vibrant, they serve as the perfect gourmet garnish for pastas, soups, and sandwiches.
Seed & Planting Care
Microgreens are one of the fastest and most rewarding "indoor garden" projects. Because you are harvesting at the first leaf stage, you can grow these year-round on a kitchen counter.
-
Sowing Method: Grow in shallow trays or containers with drainage holes. Use a high-quality seed-starting mix or a coconut coir medium.
-
Sowing Density: Sprinkle seeds thickly and evenly across the surface of the soil. You want the seeds to be close together (like a carpet), but not overlapping.
-
Sowing Depth: Gently press the seeds into the soil surface. You do not need to bury them; a very light dusting of soil or simply covering the tray to keep them in darkness for the first 2–3 days is sufficient.
-
Watering: Mist the seeds regularly with a spray bottle to keep the surface moist. Once they sprout, water from the bottom of the tray to keep the stems dry and prevent damping-off.
-
Light: Once the sprouts emerge, move them to a bright windowsill or under a grow light to develop their deep green color.
Harvest & Quality
-
Fast Results: Broccoli microgreens are typically ready to harvest in just 7–14 days!
-
When to Harvest: Harvest when the seedlings are 2–3 inches tall and have developed their first set of "seed leaves" (cotyledons).
-
Technique: Use sharp scissors to snip the greens just above the soil line.
-
Nutrition: Harvested at this peak stage, these greens contain significantly higher concentrations of vitamins and minerals than the mature broccoli head.
Please Note: This listing is for high-quality seeds intended for planting. We do not ship fresh produce.
